I just got done playing a couple nice sessions, although at the end it kinda started to suck.
Ill post the biggest/most interesting hands from my last couple sessions. Winners first:
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733575 I really contemplated folding here, but I had beeen Raising a ton, so I thought they might be under estimating my hand, plus for 100bb (112bb in this case) I'll go broke w KK all day. It was def a nice suckout by me.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733580 Cooler, I still dont know how to deal with this chk min R on the flop. A lot of times I find myself against a set, but I wasnt folding against this opp, the board played out perfectly. I know that I can RR his min R on the flop, but some player do it w an under pair, or top pair weak kick, I was planning on shoving over the top to his turn bet, the 3 was a good card, in case he had 2 pair, my hand was now good.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733606 Hmm, him leading out was kinda tricky, the turn htis me hard and he hang himself on the river. Then i noticed taht he was leading out on everypot he played.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733613 I can rule out big pairs , since he probably chk R with it on such drawy flop.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733617 standard ?
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733619 good river for both, mine was gin though
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733620 After getting R on the flop and the turn, you would thnk he'd slow down
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733622 I like how i played this, I made a strong river bet, to make it look like comewhat a bluff.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733632 Ship it
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733635 I was actually somewhat tilted b/c he had just sucked out on me. worked out good
Big Pots I lost :
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733608 Meh...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733625 I had been R a lot on my B and he had to have been getting frustraded to stack off w 10'ss pre. I actually thought i was behind on the flop already if he had a big pair, river sucked.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733590 I was a 98 t2 fav on the flop, this dont really happen often, so Im glad I got those beats out of the way. His pre flop/flop call is soo bad..especially to my early pos R
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733610 He priced me in pre, and I guess I would have done the same on the flop
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733592 This one was interesting, I really didnt think he had an A, and if he did a weak one, thtybe I could push him off fro He took his time to call on the flop and turn, the river was a really good card and I was gonna value bet it, and he auto min R....I puked! and called :(
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733602 LOL at this guy, I dont mind sticking it in pre on a bvb battle, he just made such a huge R pre.
Then, the same guy:
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733603 So,he RR and get is all in w 22 pre, but just calls w JJ. Im not folding to this guy,Cooler.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1733638 Hmmm
So, once the losers started to happen, I decided to call it a night, at least I won the big ones and lost the semi small ones.Up 6 buy in overarll.
Good Luck!

Legendary 2+2 Post by fimbulwinter
first off you should never view it as a quantum leap kinda thing. just take little shots when you feel comfortable, have the money and are good enough. here's a hand waving yardstick:
try 50NL when:
- you're confident in your preflop game
- you understand position
- you have a good idea of their hand by the river
- you have an ok feel when to continuation bet
- you have 500 or more
100NL when:
- you're confident playing draws
- you can spot good semibluff opportunities
- you can lay down AA/KK unimproved
- you're attacking the blinds in easy steal situations
- you have 1200+
200NL when:
- you're ok betting your stack on a draw
- a PFR from you doesnt always mean AA-JJ and AQs+
- you're starting to play one hand while holding another
- you have more than one mode
- you have 3000 or more
400NL when:
- you can ID profitable preflop steals
- you know how to pick between b3b and c/r
- position factors heavily into your play
- you're good at manipulating pot size
- you have 6000+
1K NL when
- your lines don't define your hand
- you're good at playing and winning lots of small pots
- your oop opponent must hold a strong hand to win a pot from you
- you understand the real math of the game at least at a basal level
- you have 20000+
fim
Even it was posted like almost 2 years ago, it's still amazing still how good this is. I remember reading this 2+2 post as I was moving up the stakes. I would go back to it probably once every couple months just to see how much I've progressed. It's kind of like a checklist for me until I become a very good player. So it's been months again since I read this, I can say that very soon I wouldn't be reading this ever again. That's great news and it's very good for my confidence

Thought on BankRoll Management
Here's the thought process:
"The money that I made so far that's currently in my BR is not mine. Actually, it's not anybody's and actually it is everybody's. As long as it is in my BR, the money there is not in my possession. It will come and go as I play more hands. I have no control over the outcome of the cards, but I hope to be winning at the end. If I lose my BR, I did not lose anything because it was never mine. Again, all I can do is make best decisions and make profitable plays. I have the power to take the money in my BR to become mine by withdrawing any time. If I choose to keep playing and earn more with my investment, then I need to accept that what I keep in my BR is never mine. I can think of my BR as a different entity that is part of my investment and by investing, I have to accept that it can come and go. But in the end, I know that if it is all gone, I never gain or lose money because it was never mine."
It's a pretty different concept, and I like it. It really isn't "faking" my mind to not care, because I honestly think the above is true. It's just a different way of thinking of your BR. I like it so far. Maybe it'll help someone out there. But I blog this because it's important for myself and it helps me.

GREAT DAY! +7buy ins! BR at 9.5k!!
Today everything worked out great. I played cash games for about 45 mins and picked up 4 buy ins at 100NL WOOOT!
Then, I had a decision. I had 13,300 fpp, now I could get to 13.5k and get a ticket for the sunday $215, which I can sell for /$208.55 guranteed or I could play a couple of the 5400FPPs 10 man sitngos, where top 4 get a seat and hopefully I can win one and have some extra fpps for whatever.
Well, I played the first one and got a seat, I was shortstacked and pushed 900 at the 150/300/50a from the co and both blinds go all in. I was up against 66 and 99. The flop was a lovely 334, weeeeeeee!
I decided to play one more and AGAIN I took it down, this time w no major suckouts, just some nice solid poker.
So, now I was up about $820 and dediced to play some cash, where I could not win against a specific oponent playing 68/22 , but finally busted him on this hand: Although he had already donked off most of his stack, its still a good feeling to bust him.

HOLY ****!!! WARNING!
Wow! I just ran sooo Bad, and got coolered soo many times. The thing is that Im not even tilted or really upset about my play.
The losers :
1)http://www.pokerhand.org/?1673560 95% fav going to the river.
2)http://www.pokerhand.org/?1673563 I have some history with this guy and he 3 bets sooo light, and ALWAYS 100% c bets the same amount on the flop. I was trapping preflop, the flop was doo ahead of his range.
3)http://www.pokerhand.org/?1673565 Cooler, thats about the only hand on his range that beats me. He could easily have a weaker A and be playing the J as the kicker.
4)http://www.pokerhand.org/?1673566 I used to auto push on this spots. But Ive learned to just call when I dont have the nutz, but the definately a call is in order.
5)http://www.pokerhand.org/?1673568 Shortstacks range is soo wide, that I was very confident my hand was ahead and they never wanna fold. Unlucky he had it.
6)http://www.pokerhand.org/?1673571 Full Boat over Boat.
7)http://www.pokerhand.org/?1673574 This board is way too drawy to not c bet on the flop. I could have smooth called on the turn, but he would have gone all in ont he river and I probably would have had to look him up getting good odds.
8)http://www.pokerhand.org/?1673573 This seriously is when you know its not your night. I RR 13xbb pre, because the had big stacks, dream flop and usually with top set on this board, you get no action, so I wanted to encourage him calling, not that the amount of my bet would have mattered because he had the nut flush draw. I knew he would be on the turn no matter what and got coolered.
And some HU action:
9)http://www.pokerhand.org/?1673581 Top two, cant fold against this bad player who was tilting.
10)http://www.pokerhand.org/?1673583 I was 90% sure I had the best hand on the flop, he had been raising the flop really light. He hit...
NEXT hand,
11)http://www.pokerhand.org/?1673585 I set him up perfectly.
So, pretty devastating day... I dont really feel like I played bad, I know there were some close calls, but Overall Im not really upset with my play.
So, Ill wake up tomorrow and try to put a big session and hopefully turn things around.

Back to 100NL
Ive decided to move down back to 100NL and re-gain some confidence on my game, cause 200NL hasnt been very kind to me. I know I will eventually be winner at that level, but I think Ive been running a little below expectation when playing there.
So, my bankroll is still in pretty good shape and once I feel that Im playing my A game again, I will come back to 200NL.
I played quite a bit today and ran pretty decent and was able to win about $360. Which feel really good, especially after having such a bad session last night. Basically Ive noticed that I was opening a lot of marginal hands on early pos and being forced to c bet any flop. Well, thats ok to do every now and then to mix up your play, but I had been raisin every single suited connector/one gappers I got not caring the position. So Im back to the basics to try and not getting involved in many pots out of position.
Later,
LH.

Struggling/Runnning Bad and Probably not playing my best
Im just gonna post some HH's from last nights session....
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1561078 Heads up, Im not so sure I can fold this.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1561082 Cooler
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1561098 Not sure how I feel about this hand, but I know that by calling his flop R, I gotta call the rest of the way.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1561101 Both these guys were major donks...I was 90% sure I was ahead.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1561108 Meh
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1561110 Meh#2
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1561103 I love it how he calls my R w that hand.
KK Hands:

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1561088
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1561093
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1561091
So my AA,KK and QQ and JJ all lost last night, for a total of $384 just with those hands.
Here are some of winners:

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1561117
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1561119
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1561120
Once thing I noticed, dont c bet the shortstack, I can name sooo many times where my $12 c bet kept getting min raised. I really dont think I played THAT bad, im sure I didnt play my A game, but some of the key hands didnt go my way. So last nights session - 3 1/2 buy ins....Sigh that sounds much better than - $700 :(
I might take a break...

Scratch that last post....
I had lost about $500 and was feeling really bad about my game. But I decided to take a break and came back with a fresh mind and I won it all back + $200ish. So I feel really good about that.
Then I started playing kinda weak and decided to call it a session.
Then I started playing kinda weak and decided to call it a session.
Ouch...
Really really ugly, Im playing bad and making over calls. Plus eveyone is folding when I have AA and KK, so I get no action from them...Sucks, i need to win those key hands so I can gain a little more momemtum and confidence on my game.

Before I start every session...
Here are some quotes that will get me in the right mind set:
“Everybody will eventually run worse than they thought is was possible. The difference between the winner and a loser is that the latter thinks they do not deserve it.” – Craig Hartman
“I have spent a lot of time playing poker in the past year. I completely immersed myself in poker. I have read every poker book, spent countless hours browsing and reading forums, spent even more hours analyzing my play and my opponents’ plays. And then beyond this I have played endless hours. I really enjoy playing and I think if you don't you will never reach your fullest potential. You really have to love to play the game.” – Brian Townsend
"You lose 100% of the shots you DONT take"
"I play poker to WIN money!"
"Impossible is Nothing"
"Emotion is Expensive"
Among other ones....I really want to be the best 200NL player, Im struggling right now, but I have always tended to do that when moving up to a higher level and pushing my comfort zone. That is, until I adapt and start Killing it ! :)
Wish me luck!

Solid Day...
I started hitting the 200NL tables on stars and I played 4 big hands. 2 of them I lost, but one of the ones I lost was at 200NL, so that kinda sucks.
Here they are:
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1546076 this guy had been raising me quite a bit, I was barely a favorite, but I didnt give him the odds to call and gotta make a stand sometimes.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1546103 Lovely
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1546078 This hand sucks, I gave no respect to his table image and his utg R. I can only beat a bluff. (Gotta work on my foldin when my gut tells me) But Im just a donk somtimes.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1546088 I dont mind my play, but I MUST FOLD to his river bet. Again, trying to make hero calls....BAD BAD
Winners :
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1546090 Got the right pot odds to call and hit gin on the flop and let him bet it for me.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1546096 This guy was a major DONK! liked to bet if u chekd to him, so once he called on the flop, I knew he would bet on the turn and river ( he liked to bet the river big) Somehow he thought he was good. and SHIP IT!
Somehow I ended up $273 So I cant complain :)
Ive been running really good Heads up, but I still like playing 50NL, cause once I like to go All in a lot to keep the pressure on my opponent and HU can be very swingy. So I leave you with one hand. It was the perfect timing since he had just caught me bluffin the hand before http://www.pokerhand.org/?1546105
I plan playing 200NL more often so, LOOK OUT, I hope to run good :)

New month!!!
Sucks!
I got mixed feelings about my session today. I played a lot!
Here are some of the big hands:
Losers:
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1538871
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1538875 I was mixing it up pre, and when he leads out, I try to represent and over pair, good turn, bad river.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1538877 hmmm, I dont mind getting it all in on the flop, but on the river, I should have checked call, since a set, now a boat, is a big part of his range.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1538880 Jacks are tought to play, I had been raising a lot lately and wasnt sure what he might be doing, but I decided to see a flop, which was good, and the turn is gin for him.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1538887 I dont mind my play here, HOWEVER, when he 3 bets me on the river, I must just call, I even told myself, sooo much beats you and still shoved, bad bad.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1538892 His line here screams weakness, I cant call on the river, he played it good. Dont usually make this kinda of river plays, but with his stack size, I figured he might fold.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1538897 Good flop, GREAT turn, wait...cooler
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1538903 Cant put him on 87off... i told myself I was pushing if a non-spade hit the turn
And some winners :
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1538908 cooler for him
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1538911 Free money
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1538914 Good river
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1538920 This hand makes me laugh, a bluff?
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1538924 Fishing!
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1538925 lol!
I played about 1500 hands, surprisingly I only lost about about $45. It really sucks that my hands didnt really hold up...some day, it will all go my way. Although I cant complain, since I just got done with my best month to date. Check a couple entrys down!
Good luck to me!

Long Session! Lots of interesting hands
Wow! I sure played for a quite a while today about 3-4 hours straight. At some point I was 8 tabling 50NL, and this happened:
This was my second hand of the night: http://www.pokerhand.org/?1335512
But I didnt get discouraged, I knew that I put my money in as a big favorite, and just got unlucky.
This guy was LOOSE! he was playing 60/40 and I think I should have made my preflop Raise to 7-7.5, since he was calling so many hands. Again, when the money went in I was about a 4-1 fav, but http://www.pokerhand.org/?1335516
And this : http://www.pokerhand.org/?1335540 Pretty standard cooler. The sb was pretty active, so I had to put ina 3rd raise to see where I was at.
So I was down close to 3 buy ins and Ive decided that if Im down 3 buyins at any given point, i shuold probably quit, but since I didnt quite get there I decided to just play through it and instead of 8 tabling, I went back to my usual 4 tables, this is where the comeback starts :)
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1335523 He played that hand pretty passively, and instead of putting all the money in on the flop, he decided to shove on the turn, weird, he should have known I was commited, after all, I RR pre and then RR again after the utg player lead out for almost pot. Screams strenght.
Next, http://www.pokerhand.org/?1335526 Typical fish/calling station who wont fold top/second pair ever!
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1335529 Not sure why he shoved on the river, when the only hand that will call him is a hand just like mine. Yummy!
This guy was a CALLING STATION, but he would only call somewhat small bets, but I guess he was drawing http://www.pokerhand.org/?1335532
This opponent had been Raisin me all night and using position against me, he was smart/tricky, so If I just called on the flop, I think it would scream strenght, so there was no reason to slow play and he had a big hand as well. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1335535
Again, people wont fold their second pair http://www.pokerhand.org/?1335537
Stars has Heads up tables finally so, here is me going in with the best, then getting sucked out on and RE-sucking out :)
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1335545. Overall I finsihed the HU match up only about 10 bucks, cause there were a couple hands that I definately misplayed.
Thats about it, I played 1400 hands and winning close to 1 buy in, so Im just really glad that although I almost started tiltin, I was able to keep a cool head and make a nice comeback!!!

I RUN GOOD!!
I actually decided to review my pokertracker and find some weak spots on my game and I realized that I have been losing most of my money from the sb and big blind. So after loking over a few hands, I played for about 30 mins and won over 3 buy ins!! So Im pumped, can august be my best month ever? At this rate, I sure hope so!
Here is a hand that helped out:
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1325532 yummy, Im just glad I held up :)
I ran insanely hot on this session, so I hope to keep it up!

Quick Update!!
I played 4 tables of 50NL on Full Tilt and I was up about 3 buy ins, when the following happened, all in a 15 min span
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1314722 Nothing I can do, cooler...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1314728 This guy was playin over 50% of his hands and, this sucked.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1314732 sigh...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1314735 I had a note on this guy that said, "min raises w draw" but I gotta practice on having my opponents NOT HIT the river!
Life Tilt now, cause I was playing a $2 tourney and this happened with 20 left on it for a top 5 stack!
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1314739
Im tired of posting bad beats, but thats all Ive been getting, those are the key hands that would make me have a really good day at the tables, but they just arent holding up. Somehow I only ended up down $62! :)

Todays Session
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1301447 River Flows..enough said. Not sure whether I could check call on the river, since there was some much out there
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1301452 Standard?
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1301459 They guy said he had k10, but I think a fold is correct there 90% of the time.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1301462 I really thought about folding this, he either had a set of Aces or just a draw, decided to go w my gut and he was making a bold move!
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1301466 Talk about the perfect turn card
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1301468 I decided to bet weak on the flop so he might raise me and make a move and decided to check call, in case I was behind, I beat him to the pot on the river!

Probably one of the most swingy Session Ive ever had!!!
I just got down player for a couple hours and Im gonna post the most interesting/big/bad hands, there were actually quite a few:
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1297068 The guy is new to the table, so I elect to flat call his RR pre. When he checked the flop, I figured I was good and he had overs, I lead out on the turn, but I think where I made a mistake was leading out on the river, If he had a smaller pair, he more than likely has a set and if he has over, hes not gonna pay me off and by checking I can induce a bluff, however If he pushed all in, I might have called, this is what sucks when you have no stats on new opponents, but I DEFINATELY didnt put him on 22, its very aggressive play, but it worked out for him.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1297084 This sucked, I guess I shuld have bet more o n the flop to get him away, but I want this type of calls, its not often that hes gonna get runner runner to beat my set.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1297092 This guy hadnt RR once, so I had to call his min R and I honestly put him on a set of Aces, but instead I got coolered :(
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1297105 For some reason I wasnt sure if I should re push on the turn, since it was the first hands he had R pre, it was a bad river and luckily he checked behind, cause I would have had a tough decision if he pushed, since the river counterfits my top 2 if he had an overpair. But this pot leads out to a bunch of them against him
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1297095 Same Player. This just seemed like a set up hand, I would have beat him to the pot if he raised me on the flop, but that A on the turn slowed me down fro some reason, and it might have induceda bluff from him, on the flop you HAVE to go broke with top 2, otherwise you arent maximizing the value of your hands. But this guy seemed tricky.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1297113 Same guy.I was planning on cold calling his button R and check raising all in on the flop, but once the bb called, I said screw it all in, the bb folded and said he also had QQ.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1297116 Same guy.If he had a set, I was gonna pay him off, but there were too many draws on the flop, I meant to go all in on my 3rd flop raise, but I gay min raised him(learned that from
Brandon B) :) and somehow held up
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1297149 Same guy still, I got him to pay me off on the river w A high
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1297128 I got bluffed, this guy seemed pretty aggro, he raised a limper when he posted his blind out of pos, so it seemed shady and he could be doing it with any two. On the flop, it seemed as if he made a tester bet, but he bet pot on the turn and I kinda threw my off, I decided to call and re-evaluate on the river, but the river was a really bad card, I honeslty put him on a set or a bluff, I wasnt really worried about the str8, I was 60% sure he might be bluffing, but I didnt know he was capable of firing 3 barrels with total air.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1297147 Some people just really dont know how to bluff, he gave me huge odds to call on the river.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1297160 Free money.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1297166 This guy was a calling station, unfortunately, the A on the river killed my action, otherwise my next move was all in baby(scotty Nguyen).
Overall I finished up a whole $8.55. WOOOOOT!

So...
I played this rebuy tourney and there were 3 big hands that I played and this pretty much summarizes how Ive been running, luckily Im not down too much for the month.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1283830 During a rebuy this is an easy push. but I dont win. 3/2 fav
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1283844 Late position push and I think my hand is ahead, so I call, I was a 64/21 fav with a 15% chance for a tie
This is now after the rebuy period, and Im just under average, so I have to find a good spot to double up, this hands comes up where Im pretty sure I got the best hand, this is the same guy who called me down on the first hand w 45s
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1283851 I was 73/22 favorite

I just can't win online
I dont know what it is, but I cant remember the last time I had a good session online. Today I decided to mix it up and play some 100NL -9 handed.
Here are some of the highlights, with my thought process:
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1220751 Small stab at the flop and on the turn I thought I was money. Not so much.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1220754 The guy was playing almost 50% of his hands, but not realy raising, so if he had AA or KK I figured I would find out by putting in a RRaise preflop, the flop was A high and he cheked, then when he bet on the turn, I just couldnt put him on an ACE, and it just seemed to me as if he was trying to push me of the pot. The river makes the chances of him having an Ace even smaller, I call and he out flopped me.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1220759 About the only hand I won, the river just completes so many hands that I decided to check call, giving him a chance to bluff at it.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1220761 here is my running into Quads, there was something fishy about this hand and I decided to check behind since Im only splitting the pot or losing the majority of the time. Im just glad I didnt bet.
Not sure what it is, I guess there are couple times like this hand that I should probably not play
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1220763 hands like this can add up really quick, I feel that I have to raise this in order to mix it up, and I MUST bet the flop, in case he called with a small pair or a non ace hand.
Not sure what I should try next on my game, June has definately not been my month and it is definately my first losing month, luckily not by much and Ive had some 4-5 b uy in downswings. I think im only down 2-3 buy ins tops.
Oh well, hopefully next month I go on a heater and have some good results.
Bazuko.

Hmmm......
So, after that rough session a while back, i decided to move back down to 50nl, the games are softer than the 100NL.
Today I was feeling pretty good, so I decided to 4 table for a bit, there were A LOT of loose players, calling stations and the ones known as weak tight, who will just check call you all the way w bottom pair and give no respect to your continuation bets on the flop and of course defend their big blings w 24 or 58off suit.
My strategy was to really try and Re raise preflop to isolate when I had a good hand, well it didnt really go as I expected:
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1167318 He was playing 43/5 meaning, playin almost 1/2 his hands and raisin a small range. Well I decided to come out firing on the flop and turn since there was a flush draw and possible straight/draw. When he Reraises on the river, It was hard for me to put him on a set or the flopped str8 since with so many draws out there, he more than likely would have raised on the flop or turn.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1167313 Nothing I can do here, He could be calling w anything and if he wants to limp calls a 8xbb RR w 76o, more power to him, I just hate losing to this type of players.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1167333 I got mixed feelings about how I played this hand, on the flop I checked trying to induce a bluff, I Re Raise him and he pushes. If he called my big RR pre flop and once I raise him on the flop, he still pushes, im not sure I can call there, cause the only thing I can beat is a bluff...appereantly not. But, maybe I should have put a strong c bet on the flop.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1167324 Just an example of how bad the play is at this limit, Im glad I bet big on the flop, cause if I cheked and he pushed all in, there was a possibility that I might have folded. Although I let him know on the flop that Im commited, he still pushes, weird. Not to mention his 6xbb R pre w 63o
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1167338 And again, this guy was playin pretty loose and calling w marginal hands. My AA on the flop are good 99% of the time against this type of player, since his stats were 63/4
I know, that I got unlucky again in a few spots, I did what I was suppossed to I tried to isolate w good hands pre, but the fish still bites and gets lucky. Surprisingly I only lost about 1 1/2 buy ins, so I guess I could have been worse.
This are the type of dream games you hope to find, where u got such bad players, now the only lil problem is that my hands have to hold up :(
Hopefully things can turn around and I have a big day soon!

WARNING!! Bad Beats included!!
Wow, just wow. I just ran soo awful that it still hasnt settled in. This is a big set back on achieving my goal, but I guess its meant to happen and as long as I put my money in good, I will win in the long run. But, take a look at some of the hands.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1161429 Cooler, Ive learned to just call when people lead onto me on the river and as you will see, if has saved me money, normally I would be pushing all in, but I think that they only call my all in if they got me beat.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1161440 I mean, who chases this much, I guess I shuold have Re Raised even bigger when he lead out.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1161434 This one was brutal, same guyas before, the guy is such calling station, I mean this player is one of the worst Ive seen, and Ive seen plenty! We got all the money in as a big fav, and of course river flows.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1161442 I had just made a note on him, that he was playing really loose and was tiltin, so there is no way Im folding top 2 pair to a guy that is on tilt.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1161446 And again...running into a bigger flush.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1161447 I was value betting him and again, river hits him
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1161450 Im not so sure about my raise on the flop, but the turn commits me.
At one point I was up, but most of these hands happened in a 10 min span and I was about to start playing every hand, and I foud myself tiltin, so even though I think I got unlucky on a few spots, I really thought I had an edge over the players at my table. But, the games will always be there and I think its best to comeback with a cool head.
I might take a break, Im not real upset, but just a bit dissapointed for some reason. But Ive been in this spot before and I will try to come back strong.

Overdue Update
To be honest I havent really been playing much poker, havent really felt the drive to put in a good solid session, however, Ive been able to sneak in a couple of them here and there.
Today I started as usual donking off some money:
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1153430 I played this hand sooo bad, first of all there are way to many people in the pot, I bet out, but once I got called, I should have been done w the hand, there is absolutely nothing that I beat on the turn and he is representin strength on his bet, I mean Im a behind to a set, the flush and straight got there, all in all one of the worst hands that I have ever played. My gut feeling was telling me to fold, but I gotta go w my read, otherwise I will keep making these type of losing calls.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1153433 Now this one, I had a method to my madness. The guy wasnt not letting me limp on his BB, I knew for sure he would raise, and my hand is waaay ahead of his possible range. Unfortunately he made a corageous call(not sure if it was a good call) and I didnt hit.
I was down about $170 at one point, but I managed to only lose $13, Ill take that as a win :)
Now if I could only not make these mistakes, I could easily be on my way to achieving my goal. But I gotta start putting in the hours.
I was talking to a guy that plays for living and he says that on average he puts in 50k hands a month, thats more hands that I have played since sept last year, so I gotta step it up.
Since the last post Im up +270.33
Total of + $574.80 so far this month
Hoepfully I can go on a crazy rush in the coming up days :)
Oh btw, I flopped a str8 flush http://www.pokerhand.org/?1153444 Too bad I didnt get any action :(

Good then bad and ending in a GREAT DAY!
Today, I started the day by 4 tabling 50NL and I was able to win $150 in 400 hands. Then I logged on another session and lost about $77, so I said well screw it, Ill 4 table 100NL for a bit and just play solid.
Well, that turned out pretty good since I was able to win over 2 buy ins in about 100 hands.
Here are a couple hands that boost my day from a semi decent one to a pretty good one:
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1137597 Standard ReRaise from the blinds, he called and I made a pretty strong continuation bet, which he called, at this point I was worried he might be slow playing a bigger pair that mine, so I decided to check the turn and re-evaluate and perhaps induce a bluff , his bet just seemed odd, I thought that it was likely he had AK w the Ah and was trying to push me out, so I decided to go with it and he was on a stone cold bluff.
This was a key pot mentally, because it was my few first hands back at my regular stakes.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1137617 Just making a small move
Then a few hands later the following happend at another table:
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1137599 This was pretty standard, but Ive been sucked out of many times and closed my eyes and crossed my finger till I saw the pot being shipped to me, I logged off right then and there and decided to finish the 1st of the challenge on a good note :)
Todays Session: + $305

The Start of this blog
Hello All -
Im trying to come up with a new challege, in the past Ive been able to reach both my goal, 1st turn $500 into $2,000 and the 2nd one turn $2,000 into $6,000.
Well I havent been running too well for the past 2 months, overall this years Im up a pretty good amount, but when I dont have a goal, I dont have to drive to play my A+ game and ends up costing me $$$.
Right now I got about 3k online, well Im gonna try to turn that into 5k by the end of june.
At the moment, Ive moved down to 50NL($50max buy in) - 6 handed, just to build up my confidence again, because thats a huge part of the game, you have to beleive in yourself which means beleiveing you have an edge when sitting at the table and trusting your reads, etc.
Im gonna grind 50NL, till I start turning things around and I can move up to 100NL and hopefully be killing the 200NL by the end of the year.
Im a strong beleiver of Bankroll Management so I like to have a 20-25 Buy in Rule when playing the limits. As you see right now I could easily be playing the 100NL, but I dont feel Im playing my best and Im running below expectation.
Hopefully things will turn around soon and this blog can help me stay focus.
There is one quote I read that really inspired me:
" Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal, nothing
on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude."
- Thomas Jefferson
Well, good luck to me at the tables!!
